yesterday Alicia of instant vintage posted about a very eye opening issue that everyone should be aware of.
her "...there is no free lunch..." post is one that we should all see and take very seriously.
she speaks on how the fashion industry is still using sweatshops.
i think that this is an issue we are all aware of, but tend to turn the other way as we don't see it first hand.

one of her commenters also brought up another post on this subject, but is geared specifically towards FOREVER 21.

this post speaks of FOREVER 21's use of sweatshops in the LA area & also overseas.
there is a bounty of information online about this subject and i really think it is important for everyone to come together and take a stand by not supporting these businesses. i understand this is hard as alot of the time we would never be able to find out all companies that use sweatshops.
but i think that by at least being informed we can and will be aware.
these people are human beings and the situations they are put in is unnecessary and appalling. if these people were our family we wouldn't stand for it, so why should someone else's mother or father have too?
